Super Spacer® is extruded as a flexible organic warm edge spacer. Its polymer EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene-monomer) is well-known in the industry for its excellent resistance to ozone, weathering, water and aging, while maintaining its flexibility through wide changes in temperature and barometric pressure.
What does this do for you? It eliminates the standard metal spacer in the glass unit and replaces it with a flexible yet sturdy heat resistant foam one.
This provides a heat resistant barrier in the glass unit. Since a double pane glass unit comprises the greatest surface area of a typical window, this means that heat will have a very tough time transferring between one pane of glass to the other. During the summer, heat stays out and during the winter, heat stays in. Super Spacer® elevates the thermal efficiency of your windows and saves you money by lowering your energy bills and making your home more comfortable.
Thermo-Twin uses Super Spacer® in all of the windows we manufacture.
Thermo-Twin utilizes the most advanced technology available in the manufacture of energy-efficient
glass units. A series of automated robotic assemblers washes the glass, applies the Super-Spacer
warm-edge spacer, and then seals the glass unit with high temperature sealant. The glass unit is then
inspected to make sure it is up to Thermo-Twin's high quality standards. We utilize this technology in
all of our windows. For our customers, it assures them of having the best in energy-efficient windows.
